Statement Regarding Christchurch Mosque Attacks

Massey at Wellington Students’ Association is devastated for those impacted by the horrific act of terrorism in Christchurch.

No matter where people live or who they are, they deserve to live in peace. We are devastated for our Muslim whānau and friends, we send them our deepest aroha.

We as a student body mourn with you and stand in solidarity with you.

The wellbeing of all our students is always our greatest priority and we encourage those impacted to seek the available support at this difficult time.

There’s no room for hate crime, racism and terrorism in our country.

Massey University advise that any students or staff affected and requiring urgent support should do so through their local emergency or health services. There is also a free national counselling service line available 24/7 – Free call or text to 1737.
